Aerial adventure courses and tree camping in the mountains of the Hundred Lakes Park

Among the high peaks of the Hundred Lakes Park, on the Apennines of Parma, is where you will find the Forestavventura adventure park. Its trails wind through the centuries-old beech trees of a forest not far from the Prato Spilla ski resort, at more than one thousand metres above sea level: taking a visit to this park is the perfect opportunity to breathe the fresh mountain air and take in the unspoilt beauty of nature, as you “fly” from tree to tree, suspended above the forest floor.

Forestavventura park offers a number of aerial adventure courses, which have varying levels of difficulty, depending on the age of young explorers. It ranges from 7 courses designed for children and teens over 10 years old to 5 trails for younger children between the ages of 4 and 9.

However, even the youngest children can experience these aerial trails thanks to the 5 walkways created especially for them, which include Tibetan bridges, suspended pipes, wood and rope footbridges, swinging logs, swings, bridges with two and three cables, and even a zip-line flight of almost 100 metres hanging from a steel cable.

In the breaks between one adventure and the next, you can enjoy a well-deserved rest in the area picnic area or continue to play in the children’s area.

The period of the year when the park is open, from May to September, is also the ideal time to combine your visit to the park with a walk in the forest or a guided hike with the whole family. In the park, you can also do sports fishing and go mushroom hunting.

To end your time in the park in a very special way, you can even go tree camping, where you will spend the night in a tent suspended among the trees. A magical opportunity to wake up to the trickling of water and enjoy a healthy breakfast made with local produce.

The entrance to the park is free, while the aerial courses require an admission fee.
