From September 22 to October 16, 2022 the Festival Verdi will celebrate its XXII edition. In a more complete version, with 3 operas in scenic form, including 2 new productions on the prestigious calendar of events, taking the stage will be:
at the Regio theatre of Parma Roberto Abbado, will conduct La forza del destino in the version of Milano 1869, and Riccardo Frizza will conduct Simon Boccanegra in the rare first version of Venezia 1857.
At the Girolamo Magnani theatre of Fidenza Sebastiano Rolli will conduct Il trovatore in the scenic form created by Elisabetta Courir for Festival Verdi 2016 with Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini and the Choir of Teatro Regio of Parma.
Michele Mariotti conducts Messa da Requiem on the podium of the Rai National Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Teatro Regio di Parma. Daniele Gatti conducts the Four Sacred Pieces with Orchestra and Chorus of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
Rosa Feola and Sergio Vitale are stars of the Gala Verdiano.
Lella Costa will be the star of Giovanna: the maid, the maiden, the lark, commissioned by the Festival in a world premiere made by the Parma Concerts Society.
