The event aims to enhance the gastronomic identity of Parma and the typical factories of the territory, from PDO Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma and pasta, from tomatoes to anchovies, and even milk.
The 25th edition of the Parma Ham Festival will officially open the festival, scheduled in Langhirano, on the Parma hills, from September Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th.
On September, Tuesday 6, the historic center of the ducal city returns to transform itself into an evocative restaurant under the stars, capable of welcoming a thousand people. The guest chefs of the Cena dei Mille 2022 are Chicco Cerea and Enrico Crippa.
With "Gastronomic September", Open Enterprises also restart: after a short summer break, local companies open their doors to the public.
As is the tradition of Parma at the end of summer, the Portici del Grano will welcome the Bistrò: a space, managed by the chefs of Parma Quality Restaurants, offering their dishes that interpret the excellence of Parma Food Valley in a gourmet and modern key.
The Bistro will be active from September Wednesday 7 to Sunday 25, with different appointments every day: "Tuesday in pink", "Thursday ... pizza and ice cream", "The cook and the farmer".
In addition to the Portici del Grano, in Piazza Garibaldi, the space that traditionally houses the Bistro, in 2022 the other pole of attraction of "Gastronomic September" will be the Complex of San Paolo. Here, throughout the month of September, activities will take place at the Open Laboratory. From September 23 until November 27, the exhibition “GUSTO! Italians at the table. 1970-2050 " will be hosted here.
On the weekend of October Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 the last event of Gastronomic September si Caseifici Aperti, the traditional event that offers foodies, enthusiasts and curious people the opportunity to discover the secrets of the production of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO.
There are many scheduled events that will involve adults and children, Parma city but also its territory.
