Cesenatico proposes activities and comforts to let dogs and their masters live memorable moments together.
The two public parks of the city are equipped with areas for dogs and are close to the sea, which is always a great "playground" for animals.
The Parco di Ponente is a vast green area with a fenced-in play area near Via Magellano.
The park is a very quiet area, open all year round, where there are cycle and pedestrian paths that can be used with your dog on a leash.
Inside the park there are also two football pitches, a basketball court, an entertainment and picnic area, toilets and various children's play areas.
We leave the Parco di Ponente from Viale de Varthema, which leads us to cross Via Colombo and head towards the sea.
Just a few metres and you are directly on a large free beach that can be a huge play area for your dog.
We would like to remind you, however, that the beach can be used with your four-legged friends until the beginning of the bathing season, that is, when the bathing ordinance comes into force, which allows animals to access the beach only at certain times and on certain stretches of free beach. In summer, however, there are dog-friendly bathing areas.
Moving to the south of Cesenatico, there is another big public park that can be accessed from Viale dei Mille.
Thise entrance is adjacent to the dog playground, which is open all year round and also has a fountain and benches.
The Parco di Levante is another green lung in the city, with an area of 40 hectares of meadows, a forest of domestic pines, poplars, alders, oaks and tamarisks. Inside there are two small lakes, two play areas for children, picnic areas and a summer bar.
Using the exit leading to Viale dei Mille and continuing in the direction of Viale Carducci, it is possible to reach the Spiaggia di Levante / Valverde. This long stretch of beach can also become an open-air playground, with holes to dig in the sand, birds to chase on the shore and a nice dip in the water, until the bathing season starts in May and the local bathing regulations come into force.
