Velostations

Velostations offer many benefits not only to residents, but also to visitors. Often located near train stations, they allow cyclists and bicycle tourists to park their bikes safely and protected from the elements in a covered and sometimes even guarded environment. Once one has left one's vehicle at the velostation, one can continue one's journey by public transportation or set off on a ride to explore the city.

In addition to bike racks to park your bike (free or for a fee), some cyclostations are equipped with additional user services such as rentals, charging points for electric bikes, and areas equipped for maintenance.

Velostations in Emilia Romagna

Here is a list of the velostations available in Emilia Romagna:

• Piacenza. At the train station there is a 400-space, secure, pay-as-you-go bike storage facility that also offers anti-theft marking, bike rental and repair services;
• Ferrara. The Ferrara velostation has a free, unattended 116-space parking lot located in front of the train station. It also houses a charging station for electric bicycles and a self-service rental of electric bikes and scooters;
• Ravenna. Ve.Ra., Ravenna's velostation offers a wide range of services for cyclists: secure outdoor and indoor parking, bicycle repair shop, branding, bike rental, sale of accessories and remanufactured bikes, as well as luggage storage and information on cycling routes in the area;
• Forli. At the Forlì cyclostation you can deposit your bike by taking advantage of one of the 86 places available, but also recharge your electric bike and take advantage of the do-it-yourself maintenance service. Forlì's velostation is also located near the train station;
• Rimini. Located on the station's forecourt, a short walk from the Coastal Rapid Transit stop, the Rimini Bike Park not only allows people to park their bikes in a secure storage facility, but also offers a repair and rental service (including pedal-assist bikes and cargo bikes), a charging station for electric bikes, an accessory store, a stroller storage service and a luggage storage facility.
