On May 21 and 22, the Parma Valleys will host the first edition of the new gravel bike project dedicated to Made in Italy, in the municipalities of the Unione Pedemontana del Parmense that have joined forces to promote their territory through cycling. In the beating heart of the Food Valley you will cycle through unspoiled scenery, artistic beauties and naturalistic places. All accompanied by the best products of Italian food and wine.
A special final banquet and live music will welcome everyone on arrival for this gravel bike event in Emilia.
Saturday 21 May
Two loops will be proposed starting from Traversetolo and arriving in Oinoe, the city of wine: a 52 km loop to which the most willing and trained can add a second, 30 km, to reach a total of 82 km. A little taste to warm up your legs and begin to immerse yourself in the splendid scenery of the Parma Valleys.
Sunday 22 May
Three routes to choose from: the short one with 50 km and 800 meters of altitude difference, the medium one with 80 km and 1280 meters of altitude difference and the long one with 125 km and 2480 meters of altitude difference. The Corte di Giarola, home to the Tomato Museum and the Pasta Museum, will be the evocative setting for the departure and arrival of all the routes with its medieval rural style.
