On the last weekend of May, The Cherry Festival returns to Pietracuta di San Leo, the historic "Festa dal Zarisi" that has its roots in the first half of the 1970s when in Pietracuta, in the area called "Antaneta" near the Marecchia River, there was a lush expanse of cherry trees that produced about 10000 kilograms of the tasty fruit.
Many artists will perform during the three-day festival with free shows suitable for audiences of all ages.
There will be food stands for all tastes, delicious cherries, a market with typical products, handicrafts and recycling, attractions and games for children, and of course lots of music to listen to and dance to for a weekend that will kick off the 2024 summer season.
