Noceto is located south of the Via Emilia and on the motorway junction between the Milan-Bologna and Cisa motorways.

Why visit it

Noceto is an agricultural and industrial town in the foothills, along the Via Francigena.

In the surrounding areas are the beautiful hills with farm-stays and factories of Parmigiano Reggiano. In the centre of the village, original remains of its 13th C Fortress remain where the Museo del Disco (Vinyl Record Museum) and Museo della Liuteria (Luthiery Museum) are housed.

Other places of interest are the Church of San Martino and the "Ferdinando Libassi" Museum.

Don't miss

Thanks to scientific excavations, a large rectangular basin containing many objects in ceramic, wood and vegetable fibers attributable to the Terramare culture was discovered and today, in Noceto, you can visit the Museum of the Votive Basin.

In the surroundings

About 20 km from Noceto, direction Bardi, there is the little village Varano dè Melegari, with the important Pallavicino castle, Dallara Academy and the motor racing track.
