From 24 February to 30 June 2024, the San Domenico Civic Museum in Forlì will host the major new exhibition 'Pre-Raphaelites. A Modern Renaissance'.

The exhibition will display over three hundred works including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and photographs paying homage to the artists of the Pre-Raphaelite current, which developed in England in the second half of the 19th century.

The profound impact that historical Italian art had on the Pre-Raphaelite artistic movement will be explored by placing Italian models alongside British works.

The wide-ranging exhibition will place the great names associated with the trend, from Dante Gabriel Rossetti to the British painters Ford Madox Brown and Frederic Leighton, alongside the works of late 19th century Italian artists who were inspired by their British precursors.
