Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679, this page describes the methods for processing the personal data of the users consulting the present website of the Emilia-Romagna Region accessible by electronic means.

4. Data processors
The Entity may make use of third parties for the performance of activities and related processing of personal data for which it retains ownership. In accordance with the provisions of the law, these subjects shall ensure levels of experience, capacity and reliability such as to guarantee compliance with the current provisions on processing, including the profile of data security.
We formalise the instructions, duties and obligations of such third parties by designating them as 'data processors'. We subject these third parties to periodic audits in order to ascertain that the levels of assurance recorded when the initial appointment was made are maintained.

6. Legal basis of data processing
The processing of your personal data is carried out by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Council pursuant to art. 6 paragraph 1 letter e) of the European Regulation no. 679/2016, in the performance of its tasks of public interest or in any case connected to the exercising of its public powers.
7. Types of data processed and purposes of processing
7.1 Navigation data
The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment.
This data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the site: except for this eventuality, the data on web contacts persist for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which they are collected and subsequently processed.
7.2 Data communicated by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of messages to the contact addresses of the Emilia-Romagna Region implies the acquisition of the sender's contact data, necessary to reply, as well as all personal data included in the communication.
7.3 Subscription to the Newsletter
The User, subject to his/her consent, pursuant to art. 6 c.1 lett. a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, may request the subscription to the newsletter through the specific "format". The personal data provided by the User will be processed in order to send, to the email address provided by the same, periodical communications relating to the tourist promotion activities of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
The provision of personal data by the User for the aforementioned purpose is optional, however, failure to provide or incorrect provision of data may prevent the correct sending of the newsletter. 9. Transfer of personal data to countries outside the EU

The Entity ensures that the processing of your personal data by these recipients is carried out in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 following the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10/7/2023, on the level of protection of personal data within the regulatory framework called "EU-US Data Privacy Framework"
10. Rights of data subjects
The persons concerned have the right to obtain from the Region, in the cases provided for, access to their personal data and the rectification or cancellation thereof or the restriction of the processing concerning them or to oppose the processing (Art. 15 et seq. of the Regulation).

Right to complain
Data subjects who consider that the processing of personal data relating to them carried out through this site is in breach of the provisions of the Regulation have the right to lodge a complaint with the "Garante" (relevant regulating body) or to take legal action.
