To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the Cattolica Lifeguards Cooperative kicks off a cultural and collective project: an open-air photography exhibition.
From December 13 to April 6, the exhibition "BAGNINI BAGNANTI. 60 Years of Life, Faces and Images of the Lifeguard Cooperative" hosted on Cattolica's seafront will offer an authentic and heartfelt glimpse of beach life in Cattolica: a choral and family narrative of the beach that spans generations and seasons, through the eyes of those who have enlivened - and continue to enrich - the bathing establishments: the lifeguards and bathers.
There are people who live in front of the sea.
And then there are people who give the sea a rhythm, an order, a meaning.
Who know its silences, its waits, its sudden furies.
In Cattolica, this story began in 1965, with the birth of the first Lifeguard Cooperative of the Romagna Riviera: a shared decision, a gesture that transformed a profession into responsibility, identity, a continuous presence.
Sixty years of the sea.
Sixty years of stories.
Sixty years together.
