Modena in Fiore is one of Italy’s leading horticultural events, attracting gardening enthusiasts, plant lovers and botanical experts from across the country.
Founded 21 years ago, Modena in Fiore began in Piazza Pomposa and Via del Taglio, in the heart of Modena. Over the years, the event has grown and expanded, with an increasingly wide selection of plants and flowers and displays spread throughout the city centre.
Every year, more than 40 Italian growers take part, showcasing a wide variety of plants, including rare and unusual species for gardens, greenhouses, terraces, balconies, vegetable gardens and indoor spaces.
From succulents and tropical plants to carnivorous plants, bulbs, seeds, Mediterranean and seasonal varieties, fruit trees, herbs, aquatic plants and evergreens, Modena in Fiore offers something for every plant enthusiast and collector.
The participating growers and gardening experts are also on hand to offer advice on how to care for and cultivate your chosen plants, taking into account their ideal location, light conditions and soil requirements.
Visitors can also book free guided tours of hidden courtyards and private gardens in the heart of Modena. Botanical experts offer workshops and practical advice on how to grow and care for your favourite plants, while traditional herbal shops provide an opportunity to discover herbs and their beneficial properties.
The event also features a variety of special activities and side events, including opportunities to discover some of the city’s finest flower shops and interior gardens.
At Modena in Fiore, visitors can also browse more than 100 handcrafted products and a wide selection of gardening tools and accessories.
