The Cherry Blossom Festival is dedicated to the spectacular flowering of these plants along the Panaro Valley. The event includes several activities that follow the flowering theme, ranging from markets to the parade of flowering floats.
Tasty, rich in history and excellent for our well-being, Vignola cherries are queens of agricultural production in the Terre di Castelli. Their cultivation has profoundly marked the landscape of this area, and in their honor are held precisely the flowering festival in spring, but also "Vignola is time for Cherries" which takes place on the first weekend of June.
Various initiatives: along the streets of the center you can find food and wine stands, entertainment shows and games for children.
The event has its origins from as far back as 1970.
Among others, the event includes exhibition stands inside the former Municipal Market, ambulants, florists and nurserymen, daytime and nighttime parades of chariots, and the "Golden Cherry" award given to a person of Emilia-Modena origin. The P.G. Tassi Painting Competition and the International Poetry Competition are also held in alternate years.
