From 1 October 2026 to 28 February 2027, the Bologna Civic Archaeological Museum is hosting Elliott Erwitt. The Art of Observation, an exhibition dedicated to the vision and sensibility of one of the great masters of 20th-century photography.
The exhibition brings together around one hundred photographs, including iconic shots and images from the artist’s private collection, many of which have never before been shown to the public. It tells a story that goes beyond his most famous works to reveal Erwitt’s most intimate side and show how, in his photography, personal experience, collective memory and everyday life are transformed into images of universal significance.
