From Thursday 31 October (dinner) to Sunday 3 November (dinner) 2024 Cesenatico hosts "Il Pesce fa Festa", the great autumn gastronomic event dedicated to the protagonist of local tables: the fish from the Adriatic Sea.
For four days, the picturesque old town centre of the Romagna town will be turned into a large open-air restaurant, but that's not all, because, to accompany the aroma of the delicious grilled meats, crispy fried foods, and other traditional dishes, various initiatives are planned to integrate and complete the event programme, with the aim of promoting and enhancing the maritime culture and identity.
As always, the heart of the gastronomic festival will be the canal harbour designed by Leonardo Da Vinci and the city centre.
The fish used by all the stands is strictly local, caught in the Adriatic Sea. Mullet, anchovies, mackerel, mantis shrimp and sardines can be seen, before being eaten at the table, directly on the stalls of the Fish Market, which will remain open throughout the weekend.
The arrangements for the event are under consideration by the organisers. The programme and updates on the food festival will be published on the Visit Cesenatico tourist portal as soon as possible.
