On 23rd November 2024 the Christmas initiatives in Piacenza's historic centre will open.
Piazza Cavalli will host the traditional market, open every day until Christmas Eve. On weekends, the porticoes and the square will be enlivened with choirs, music, and the presence of Santa Claus and the tourist train that will run through the streets of the centre.
In the evening, illuminations will bring the Christmas atmosphere to the main city streets.
On weekends, craft markets will be held in the former churches of Sant'Ilario and Carmine, now Laboratorio Aperto (Open lab).
On 31st December, the traditional concert will take place at the Municipal Theatre at 6 p.m.
To round off the festivities on 6 January for Epiphany, the Befana will appear tall and monstrous to give sweets to the little ones, and as every year there will be a Motobefana city tour.
