In Parma for the 500th anniversary of the Correggio Dome in San Giovanni, the first multimedia itinerary among the artist’s masterpieces.
The dome of San Giovanni Evangelista, in the heart of the church of the Monastery still inhabited by the thousand-year-old Benedictine community of Parma, has celebrated its first 500 years.
To celebrate this masterpiece, Parma is extending until June 2nd 2025 a journey through the masterpieces of its author, Antonio Allegri known as Correggio, including all the fresco cycles that represent the art identity of the ducal city.
Correggio500 includes two stops: the Monastery of San Giovanni Evangelista, with the exciting immersive installation by Lucio Rossi "Heaven for an instant on earth" and then the Abbess's Chamber in the Monastery of San Paolo.
