From 8 December 2024 to 6 January 2025 in Piazza Saffi and in the streets of the historic centre, the magic of Christmas will be back with "Forlì che Brilla" (Forlì that Shines), now in its fourth edition.
A rich programme of proposals and entertainment for an audience of all ages, dedicated this year to Roald Dahl's masterpiece ‘The Chocolate Factory’.
A journey through chocolate, sweets and magical settings, toys, worlds to discover and adventures to experience!
On 8 December, in Piazza Saffi, the Christmas atmosphere will get into full swing with the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree, whose decorations will evoke sweets and presents, with the start of the multimedia show of imaginative videomapping, and the opening of the ice rink to provide all kinds of emotions.
Piazzetta della Misura will host both the Magico Borgo di Natale (the Magical Christmas Village), a space consisting of several themed corners where Father Christmas will welcome children, and the Crystal Little House, inside which creative workshops, games, shows and themed activities for children will be held. Father Christmas will be present to read out the thousands of letters received and have his photo taken in his traditional clothes.
The centre of Forlì will shine thanks to numerous illuminations of all shapes and kinds in perfect harmony with the claim of the Forlì che Brilla initiative.
Forlì che Brilla Music Edition will also transform the historic centre into a real stage, where bands, musicians and young talents will perform, bringing their great passion for music to Piazzetta San Crispino and the Orselli gardens.
This year, linked to the chosen theme of the Chocolate Factory, there will be a lottery, "The Golden Ticket Hunt", in which families and children will be able to participate thanks to the collaboration of the main merchants of the centre, who will issue a ticket with every purchase. It will be possible to collect tickets and chances to win great prizes raffled off by Willy Wonka on the day of the Epiphany.
Finally, on 6 January, the kermesse will end with the big party dedicated to the Befana, who will fly over the luminous square with music and sounds, giving sweets to all the children.
