The civic museum San Domenico hosts the exhibition "Food" by the American photographer Steve McCurry: an original exposition at a worldwide level with pictures that have never be seen or printed.
The scenic project of the exposition, created by Peter Bottazzi, is structured in five sections that follow the life cycle of food.
The pictures, taken by McCurry between Latin America, Asia and Europe during his lifetime career, are accompanied by scenic structures and by videos that make the tour an immersive experience from a physical and emotive point of view.
After the first section that stands as an intro for the life cycle of food, the second one shows bread as a staple food, a universal language. The third section is dedicated to the production of food, and so to the work in fields, groves and sea. The fourth is focused on the transformation of food, while the fifth is dedicated to the cohesion generated by food, to the people who gather together to eat it, to fill themselves, to not waste it, to the central value of food in life.
Possibility of integrated tickets for the exhibition in the city's museums (Pinacoteca civica and Palazzo Romagnoli).
