In Cesena, until Sunday, March 23, the exhibition Guido Guidi will be on display in the exhibition spaces of the Ridotto Art Gallery. Sul campo - In the Field.
A selection of one hundred unpublished photographic prints made by famous Italian photographer Guido Guidi in the 1980s that will permanently enter the collection of the Malatesta Library. Realized in conjunction with the major anthological exhibition that the MAXXI National Museum of XXI Century Arts in Rome is dedicating to the Cesena-based photographer, the exhibition is part of the inventory and digitizing project, promoted by the Municipality of Cesena and the Emilia-Romagna Region, of a significant section of the Guidi Archive.
The project is geared toward identifying the places, building types and different physical elements that structure the “ordinary” landscape favored by the author's research.
The sequences in the exhibition focus on the city of Cesena and the surrounding area, offering an important visual documentation of the history of the city and its transformations.
