May 1st, 2024 will mark the 30th anniversary of the death of Ayrton Senna da Silva.
An anniversary that the territory intends to celebrate with various initiatives, the first of which will start in Castel San Pietro Terme on Sunday 17 December, at 5pm, when the photographic exhibition "Magic" will open.
On display until the end of February are unpublished photos of the great Brazilian driver taken by Mirco Lazzari and Angelo Orsi.
There will be 60 photos on display at Castel San Pietro, a non-random number since 1960 is the year of Senna's birth. Then the exhibition will move to Imola (inauguration on 21 March 2024: 21 March is the day of the pilot's birth), where it will be enriched with a further 34 unpublished shots, to make up the number 94, the year of his tragic death following the terrible accident on the Santerno circuit.
The traveling exhibition will therefore kick off the celebratory year dedicated to the champion of San Paolo, which will see the creation of numerous joint initiatives between the Municipalities of Imola and Castel San Pietro, the Metropolitan City of Bologna and the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Together with him, there will also be opportunities to remember Roland Ratzenberger, the Austrian driver who died on the Enzo e Dino Ferrari track on 30 April, during practice for the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
