ColorCoriandolo is back.
On Sunday 11 February and Tuesday 13, Shrove Tuesday, the historic centre of Rimini will come alive with jugglers, musicians and acrobats, to celebrate the Carnival together dressed in masks.
Once again this year the Carnival celebrations take place between Piazza Cavour and Piazza Malatesta, the "Square of Dreams" in Federico Fellini's magical and circus world. Two days of celebration in which the squares, enriched by the presence of the French carousel, will be the meeting point for families and children.
There will be widespread and itinerant entertainment, which on Sunday 11 February will feature a Brass Band of six colourful musicians moving among the notes of their brass instruments, accompanied by dancers and acrobats in the historic centre of Rimini. Not to be missed is the performance by the Africa Acrobats, who offer human pyramids, aerial evolutions, and breathtaking acrobatic numbers with the vitality of African dance and the freshness of contemporary circus.
On Tuesday, 13 February, Mardi Gras will be celebrated with a performance by artists in scenic costumes, magic creatures from the moon. Stilt-walkers, acrobats and dancers move among the participants, creating luminous living pictures and transporting everyone on the notes of enchanting melodies into a dreamlike and mysterious dimension.
Accompanying the mask parades and games will be, as usual, Radio Bruno, the protagonist of the day's musical entertainment.
On both days, music and dance will involve children and parents, who will be able to venture on a fascinating journey around the world, discovering the most diverse and folkloristic dances.
