The tradition of Christmas comes to life on the beach of Rimini with the giant sand nativity scenes that can be admired on the free beach of Marina Centro (harbour area) and in Torre Pedrera, at the beach 65.

From 8th December (Immaculate Conception) to 7th January 2024, Rimini becomes the city of sand nativities with two suggestive and spectacular Nativities a stone's throw from the sea.

In Marina Centro visitors are accompanied to admire the nativity scene, which every year is proposed with new scenographies. This year it draws on the classic Neapolitan tradition with giant sand sculptures and sculptural groups up to 3.5 metres high, skilfully created by an international team of sand artists.

The sand sculptures are indoors and are part of the Ice Village, which also hosts an ice skating rink, a colorful and lively craft market with handmade Christmas products with a bar area and Happy Circus a stone's throw from the winter sea.

Info and booking

In Torre Pedrera, the sand sculptors together with the staff of the local Tourist Committee propose an ecologic Nativity immersed in a new scenography made to amaze with marvellous sand sculptures and metal creations by Lu Lupan of Mutonia.  There is also entertainment for children and traditional bingo which take place in the large party tent next to the nativity scene.
