The 35th edition of the historical event that recalls the famous episode of the "Forgiveness" of Canossa will be held in the medieval village of Rossena, in the municipality of Canossa on Saturday 5th September 2026.
The reconstruction of the historic meeting at which, in January of 1077, Pope Gregory VII and the emperor Henry IV who, thanks to the mediation of the Countess Matilda di Canossa, reached a peace agreement.
The event will take place from early afternoon onwards.
