On the slopes of Monte Fumaiolo, in the green heart of Romagna, Verghereto, a natural treasure chest that encloses woods, forests, high mountains, rolling hills, villages and river sources, will be the setting for the sporting event known as the 'Verghereto Trail': a walk, competitive and non-competitive footrace.
The classic routes planned will follow the following itinerary: Verghereto, Montione, Poggio tre Vescovi, Passo Rotta dei Cavalli, Passo Serra, Casal dell'Alpe, Frassineta, Verghereto.
In this edition, in addition to the planned canonical distances of 27 and 16 km, the "Ultra distance (65 km)" called "Fumaiolo Trail" will be introduced.
This new race, in addition to running the classic ring, will then continue to: Ville di Montecoronaro, Montecoronaro, Balze, and Fumaiolo.
Registration will be open until a maximum number of 500 athletes is reached, divided as follows:
- 150 places Verghereto Short Trail
- 250 places Verghereto Trail
- 100 places Fumaiolo Ultra Trail
The event will take place on Saturday 20 August 2022, starting at 6.30 a.m. and finishing at approximately 5 p.m.
