A few kilometers from the center of Bologna stands Grand Tour Italia (formerly FICO Eataly World), a themed area entirely dedicated to Italian food and gastronomic traditions.

Grand Tour Italia offers a journey through the biodiversity of Italy's regions: a 5,000-step itinerary takes visitors through all 20 regions, each of which is represented by an osteria where traditional local dishes can be enjoyed, and a sales area where typical regional products can be seen and bought.

Before entering, visitors are greeted by a selection of photos of the Italian UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the most beautiful Italian villages; immediately afterwards, the regional tabs dedicated to the Osterie of the Grand Tour Italia offer the opportunity to consult the menus...to work up the right appetite!

Once inside, the journey begins and you will be spoilt for choice between the different cuisines to be sampled for lunch, dinner or even just a tasty aperitivo combining a glass of wine with typical products.

Grand Tour Italia is also a multifaceted space that allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of the Bel Paese in many different ways: an arena for cultural meetings, events and show-cooking; an exhibition space dedicated to the link between Art and Food, with interesting temporary exhibitions; 4 thematic areas dedicated to the animal world and agricultural food production, where you can deepen your knowledge of environmental issues through quizzes, films, installations and interactive materials (also with a guided tour).

If you want to learn something new or test yourself, you can also take part in one of the many workshops and courses dedicated to food and wine, such as "Sfoglini for a day" and "Pizzaiuoli for a day".

Grand Tour Italia can also be easily reached from the city centre of Bologna by bus or, on Saturdays and Sundays, by a special shuttle service; check the opening calendar to keep up to date with the activities taking place there.
