Why visit it

Tabiano is a thermal centre famous for the effectivnes of its sulphurous waters. The small town is only 10 minutes from Salsomaggiore and 30 minutes from Parma and rises in the middle of a lush valley of the emilian pre-appenine area.

The Spa of Tabiano, the so-called “Thermae of Respiration”, claims a proven efficacy in the prevention and care of respiratory diseases and of the bronchus, ears, nose, throat and skin patologies both in adults and children.

The Spa Centre T-SPATIUM completes the wellness offer with a list of relaxation packages and exclusive treatments using thermal water and mud.

Comfort, professionalism and charm distinguish a vacation to the Spa of Tabiano, an alternative choice for a regenerating weekend which combines historic-cultural and gastronomic itineraries, hiking and biking in the middle of the nature.

It is worth visiting the ancient village of Tabiano where it is possible to stay and visit the monumental Castle built in medieval times by the Pallavicino Marquises to control the Francigena route and the salt wells nearby.

The castle is nowdays a property of the Corazza family, who has recently renovated the building and has opened it to guided tours.

In the surroundings

Tabiano borders Bargone which is a hill town 5 km from Salsomaggiore and an ideal destination for hiking and biking.

Bargone also has its castle that was a Pallavicino defensive bulwark built by the marquises along with the nearby castles of Scipione, Tabiano, Contignaco and Gallinella (today completely destroyed). Today the castle is a private residence closed to the public.

Moreover Bargone hosts the Zen Temple Fudenji, a religious community which lives by the ancient rules of Zen Temples and during the year embraces practitioners from all over the world.
