To the south east, on the first hills of the Parma area.
The town is of Celtic and Roman origin and is situated at the beginning of the valley formed by the Termina River. Nowadays Traversetolo is an agricultural centre renowned for the raising and production of pork products.
In the locality the Renato Brozzi Museum, set up in 1919 in the Municipality building, is open for visits. It houses sculptural works by the artist and also numerous letters from Gabriele D'Annunzio addressed to him.
A few kilometers from Traversetolo, in Mamiano, is the Magnani Rocca Foundation, known as the Villa of Masterpieces for its important art collection and for the temporary exhibitions that take place there twice a year, of important artists who attract numerous visitors.
Not far away from Traversetolo, in the province of Reggio Emilia, are Canossa lands.
