On Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, 2025 Castiglione dei Pepoli will host the new edition of the “Della Lana e della Seta - Festa della via e tutti i Cammini” event.
The event is dedicated in particular to the Via della Lana e della Seta (Silk and Wool Trail) the approximately 130km-long path that connects Bologna and Prato, but it will also be the opportunity to acquaint the public with other realities related to hiking in the Bolognese Apennines.
“Della Lana e della Seta” takes place simultaneously between two locations, Castiglione dei Pepoli (Bologna) and Montepiano (Prato), both of which are on the Via della Lana e della Seta trail.
The program includes a rich series of events in both towns: there will be a market of hobbies and typical mountain products (wild boar stew, potato tortelli, torta grassa, lampredotto sandwiches and also vegan and vegetarian proposals), concerts, hikes and walks dedicated to the discovery of the historical and naturalistic emergencies of the mountain area straddling Emilia and Tuscany. It will also be possible to participate in a multi-day hike along the Via della Lana e della Seta, which will, of course, stop at the festival on Saturday (a transfer to Castiglione dei Pepoli is planned).
On Sunday there will be a bus service, offered by the company “City red bus”, thanks to which it will be possible to reach the starting points of hikes and walks or the established locations for events and concerts.
