Un fiume di musica

During the summer nights the “Docks” area in front of Palazzo Savonuzzi will become a square on the river, due to the live concerts organized by Scuola di Musica Moderna-Associazione Musicisti di Ferrara.

Not to be missed are the weekly appointments on Thursday evening on the dock, where you can listen to the music played live by the teachers of the Modern Music School. Different repertoires and different sounds for a total of 21 concerts involving 100 musicians.

A RIVER OF JAZZ
Also this year the collaboration with the Ferrara Jazz Club is renewed and every Monday evening in July, jazz concerts will take place along the river.  On June 26th and July 3rd, performances by the students and teachers of the Jazz Department of the G. Frescobaldi Conservatory of Ferrara will be on stage; a river of jazz for five unmissable appointments.

THREE FESTIVALS WITHIN THE FESTIVAL

• The first on June 29th, will see the return of Gypsy Guitar, with an exhibition of musical instruments at the Wunderkammer Room and a concert on the river, with the aim of highlighting the work of the luthier Mario Maccaferri, inventor and creator of the guitar that gave voice and sound to the great guitarist Manouche Django Reinhardt, Sultan of Swing and world reference point.
• Swing river, July 14th and 15th, two evenings dedicated to swing and rock and roll: free dance stages open to all, musical aperitif and a large dance floor along the banks of the Darsena will be set up.
• August 14th and 15th, fifth edition of the Wah Wah Music Fest, an independent songwriting festival curated by the editorial staff of Wah Wah Magazine, an online music-themed magazine created in 2017 by a group of young students from the Scuola di Musica Moderna of Ferrara.
