Why visit it

Nowadays, Calestano is a small commercial and industrial centre. The old centre, however, with its stone buildings from the 15 - 18th centuries, are a testimony to the long history of the town. The village is along the "Strada del Prosciutto e dei vini dei colli" (Parma ham and wines from the hills road).

When to go and what to see

Coruzzi Palace, the Church of San Lorenzo and the Archaeological Museum are worth visiting.

Particularly famous for the black truffle of Fragno, every year Calestano hosts an important fair dedicated to the perfumed tuber.

Significant appointments
