Ivan Dimitrov's nativity scenes return to Bologna with the Nativity 2024 exhibition, hosted in the fascinating exhibition space of the "Sala Possati" of "Complesso del Baraccano", over 300 polychrome terracotta sculptures.
The artworks by the artist, known for having reinterpreted and revived the Bolognese nativity scene art, once flourishing and sought after in the noble houses of the 18th/19th century, meet the figures and characters in the paintings of the Great Masters of the past like Durer, Brueghel, Rubens and Leonardo.
