Making its world premiere in the historic halls of Palazzo Albergati in Bologna, the renowned Carmen Thyssen Collection features over 100 absolute masterpieces.

From October 9, 2026, to March 29, 2027, the exhibition 'From Gaudí to Picasso' revisits one of the most fertile periods in European art history, celebrating late 19th- and early 20th-century Barcelona as a true capital of modernity. Spanning Modernism, Symbolism, Cubism, and Surrealism, the exhibition tells the story of the extraordinary visual revolution that redefined the historic avant-gardes.

The itinerary brings 20th-century giants—Antoni Gaudí, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, and Joan Miró—into dialogue with major masters of the Catalan and international scenes, including Santiago Rusiñol, Joaquim Mir, Isidre Nonell, Joaquim Torres-García, and Julio González.

An immersive experience in the bohemian energy of the era: an invitation to wander through the warm Mediterranean light and the atmosphere of Barcelona's legendary cafés, rediscovering the gestures and insights that forever transformed global artistic language. An unmissable event on Bologna's cultural calendar for the upcoming autumn-winter season.
