From 3 October 2026 to 2 May 2027, Palazzo Belloni in Bologna hosts Tutankhamun: the Tomb, the Treasure, the Curse, an exhibition exploring the life of the young Egyptian pharaoh and the discovery of his burial chamber in the Valley of the Kings.
The exhibition takes visitors back to 1922, when archaeologist Howard Carter uncovered the tomb of Tutankhamun. Around 120 replicas, atmospheric reconstructions and themed displays introduce visitors to ancient Egyptian burial treasures, religious beliefs and the legends surrounding the pharaoh's curse.
The experience also includes an optional virtual reality activity offering a different perspective on the archaeological discovery. A special itinerary for children and guided visits for school groups make the exhibition suitable for families and younger visitors.
