The Christmas lights are turned on at the Rimini Riviera and all the towns along the coast - Riccione, Cattolica, Bellaria - Igea Marina and Misano Adriatico - are dressed up in colours, events, music festivals, ice parks, Christmas markets, fun opportunities and much more to accompany you during the festivities.
In Riccione, the magic of the holidays will begin on Friday, November 29, with the lighting of the decorations that will adorn the entire city with light and color. Neighborhoods and roundabouts will be illuminated by warm cones of light, and a long trail of lights will radiate from the canal port and the port square to Piazzale Roma, also illuminating the Lungomare promenade. Piazzale Roma will be transformed into a spectacular ice skating rink, inside the “Lungomare Ice Park”: with its Ferris wheel, it will complete the entire area, creating a fairytale ice village.
The opening of the rink will be celebrated with a breathtaking show by professional skaters on November 29 at 5 p.m.: “The Ice Christmas Show,” an exciting show that will bring the magic of Christmas to the ice and officially open the Christmas season. This unique event will combine the grace of figure skating, the power of live music, and the enchantment of stage performances, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
In Cattolica, Christmas lights up on November 29 with the “Bosco di Luce” (Forest of Light), an event that will transform the city into a magical Christmas kingdom full of events and initiatives. Once again this year, there will be an ice rink for skating fun, along with a series of events and initiatives in Piazza Roosevelt with La “Serra dei Sogni” (The Greenhouse of Dreams), a special space, a place to meet, play, listen, create, and learn. An invitation to experiment and rediscover the slowness and wonder of everyday life and enjoy an authentic and magical experience.
In Bellaria Igea Marina Christmas celebrations begin on November 30 at 5:00 p.m. in Piazzetta Fellini with the lighting of the city's Christmas lights, the opening of the ice skating rink, and a cheerful musical parade of Santa Clauses from the Accademia InArte! The P. Guidi pedestrian boulevard will be decked out in lights and magic, ready to welcome young and old alike for a month of Christmas events and wonders. From December 7 to January 4, every Sunday at 4:30 p.m., “Made in BIM Winter,” the musical review of artists from Bellaria Igea Marina, awaits you, while the Monumental Nativity Scene of Bellaria Igea Marina, the work of international artists from Arenas Posibles, will be inaugurated on December 6 at 4:30 p.m. in Piazza Alda Merini.
Once again this year, ice will be the star attraction of the festive season in Misano Adriaticowith an ice rink in Piazza della Repubblica. The official opening is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, the day on which the city's Christmas lights will also be switched on. The rink will be the main attraction of “Misano On Ice,” a program of events that will conclude on January 6, the day of the traditional Festa della Befana. There will be the traditional wooden huts, where you can find typical Christmas sweets and other sweet and savory treats, along with the inevitable craft markets.
