On January 5 and 6, the historic center of Comacchio comes alive with a joyful and festive atmosphere.
January 5 – A Day Dedicated to the Befana
One of the most eagerly awaited events is "La Tamplà", the traditional march of the Befanas. This colorful parade winds through the heart of Comacchio, featuring costumed participants and, of course, the cheerful Befana herself, chanting the traditional dialect motto, "A Van la Vecie".
The highlight of the day is the *Befana dei Pompieri*, a spectacular event where the Befana makes a thrilling descent from the Torre dell’Orologio, creating a magical and exciting moment.
January 6 – A Full Day of Festivities
The celebrations continue with a day filled with fun and cheer, where children are the stars. Sweets and candies will be distributed throughout the town. In the morning, the Befana will make an appearance at the Manifattura dei Marinati, and at 6:00 PM, she will bid farewell to the children from the monumental Trepponti Bridge. The event concludes with a stunning fireworks display, illuminating the skies of Comacchio in a grand finale of color, music, and joy.
