On the occasion of the celebrations for 700 years after Dante Alighieri's death, and within the project "Dante Trail", The Union of Savio Valley presents the show "Dante, un patàca", written and starred in by Ivano Marescotti, and losely based on Dante's Divina Commedia and on a traslation in Romagnolo dialect made by Francesco Talanti.
The show will take place in Sarsina, at 8 pm, at the Abbey of San Salvatore in Summano (Badia di Montalto). The location is reachable on foot: there will be a walk from Sarsina to Badia and a wine and food tasting (both optional) upon arrival, before the show.
The show tries to compare Dante (with no cultural subjection) to his vernacular reinterpretation made by Talanti, mixing freely Dante's dignified Italian language with the common Romagnolo dialect. An original theatrical script inserted into Dante's tragic universe, nonetheless maintaining and favouring the ironic and even comical aspects of his composition, enhanced by the alternation with dialect.
The show is not part of the season tickets and is not included in the Plautus Festival pre-sale.
