Every year in autumn, the 'Palio dei Barrocci' festival is renewed in Sant'Angelo di Gatteo, eleven days – from 19 to 29 September - dedicated to good food, music and conviviality.
The program includes comedy shows, concerts, entertainment for children, exhibitions, parade of figures in period costumes with musicians and stilt walkers, fireworks and of course a food stand with many traditional Romagna specialities.
Special features of the party? A one-of-a-kind relay race, in which the villages of the town compete in speed races using the cart, a handcrafted vehicle made up of a board welded onto small wheels with a handlebar to guide it
