On Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8, the picturesque setting of Rocca delle Caminate Park, Meldola, will host the 19th edition of "Falchi et Archi" (Hawks and Bows), a medieval historical re-enactment event dedicated to archery.
On Saturday afternoon the gates will open to allow visitors to visit the park, watch falcon flights and participate in a discussion on falconry, with the possibility of dining at a food stand in the evening.
On Sunday, numerous activities are planned from the morning, including historical archery lessons, crossbow challenges, a hunting procession, duels between medieval fencers and birds of prey flights.
During the two days, there will be stalls of ancient crafts, acrobats, minstrels, fire-eaters and falconers to entertain visitors and a food stand.
This event is a unique opportunity to soak in the medieval atmosphere and admire the 8 hectares of nature enclosed within the walls of the castle, which is usually closed to the public.
