Between September and November, Piacenza hosts the "Settimana Organistica Internazionale" (International Organ Week), an event of great cultural interest and artistic value, with concerts in some of the main churches in the city centre.
For a few autumn weekends, musical events and an extraordinary concert take place, with prestigious soloists performing with the special sounds of four Piacenza organs.
The organ concerts, whose musical repertoire ranges from Bach to Haendel and Mozart, are held in four venues of great cultural interest: the Basilica of Santa Maria di Campagna, the Basilica of Sant'Antonino, the Church of San Savino and the Church of San Giovanni in Canale.
