The Val Tidone Festival, a summer music festival that has reached its 26th edition, kicks off on 19 June from Piacenza.
The events on the programme pass through many of the towns in the valley on the western border of the province of Piacenza. From the plain to the characteristic hillside vineyards. The 2024 edition includes 16 concerts that will be held in places of particular naturalistic, architectural and landscape interest in the valley: the Guado di Sigerico in Calendasco, the walls of the castle in Sarmato, the churchyard of Albareto, immersed in the green hills of Ziano, the little-known Torre di Breno in Borgonovo V.T., the Castle of Rivalta and the Municipal Theatre of Piacenza, where the festival closes with an extra date in November.
Prominent guests on the bill include Richard Galliano, Irene Grandi, Paolo Jannacci, Peppe Servillo, Cesare Bocci, Tullio De Piscopo, Antonio Faraò, and Silvia Mezzanotte.
Programme available on the official website.
All concerts are free admission subject to availability except the last one.
Booking required for the 19 June event.
