The Nòt Film Fest is one of the leading international indie film festivals in Italy held annually in Santarcangelo di Romagna (its 4th edition will be from 22 to 27 August), a dream town immersed in the most romantic Italian countryside, nestled in the hills of the Adriatic coast near Federico Fellini’s hometown, Rimini.
Here emerging writers, directors and producers, along with veterans and film lovers from all over the globe (festivals, film foundations, universities and embassies from Europe, Asia and the United States), converge for a week of celebration of independent cinema, making Nòt an ideal place to find the next great visionary films.
The project was created in Los Angeles in 2017 by a small group of friends who share a great passion for independent cinema and a history of rejection by the magical world of the moving picture industry.
It was with the opportunity of creating a personal salon de refusés that the Nòt Film Fest was born. It found space and fertile ground in Santarcangelo, a city in continuous movement and with a lively cultural connotation that knows how to amalgamate even the most independent and experimental artistic experiences into its own ancient history.
