An extraordinary and world-wide event: the return of a real masteripiece: the Polyptych of Bologna. 300 years after its dismemberment, the 16 original plates will return to Bologna thanks to extraordinary loans from all the Museums currently houses its pieces: the National Gallery of London, Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, Louvre in Paris, National Gallery of Art in Washington, Cagnola Collection of Gazzada (Va), Vatican Museums, Pinacoteca Nazionale of Ferrara, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen of Rotterdam, and the Vittorio Cini Collection of Venice.
The exhibition consists in two initiatives: one "The Griffoni Polyptych reborn in Bologna" focused on the altarpiece; the other "The Materiality of the Aura. New Technologies for Protection", on the work of the Factum Foundation and the importance of new technologies in the protection and sharing of cultural heritage.
