La Piazza si Riaccende returns to Piazza Maggiore from 18 to 20 September 2026 with a new edition of Bologna Festival. For three evenings, the unfinished façade of the Basilica of San Petronio becomes the stage for an immersive video mapping installation created by Luca Agnani Studio, showcasing the most significant designs conceived over the centuries to complete its façade: from the proposals by Andrea Palladio and Terribilia to 20th-century visions and Mario Cucinella's contemporary sustainable interpretation.

Friday 18 September at 9:00 pm: the opening event will take place with an art-historical introduction by Jacopo Veneziani, followed by a live musical performance featuring works by Respighi, Rossini and Donizetti, performed by Claudia Ceraulo, Giulia Alletto, Bryan Sala and Pietro Beltrani.
Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September: the video mapping will be presented again at 9:00 pm, 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm, accompanied by a recording of Gioachino Rossini's William Tell Overture.
