Emilia Romagna has been in the yellow zone since 10 January 2022 and this is the updated list of the regions and the relative band assigned (only in Italian).

From May 24, 2021, all travelers who want to enter Italy, by any means of transport, are required to fill in the dPLF - Digital Passenger Locator Form before entering the national territory. 

Under national and regional laws, tourists are required to report to the Department of Public Health by completing the self-declaration form.

From 1st July the COVID-19 green certification is valid as EU digital COVID certificate and makes it easier to travel to and from all countries of the European Union and the Schengen area.

From December 16, 2021 to January 31, 2022 the ordinance of the Minister of Health provides for all entries into Italy from European Union countries (including Italians returning from holidays) the obligation on departure of a negative test in the last 48 hours ( molecular) or 24 hours (rapid antigenic) and a 5-day quarantine (the latter only for unvaccinated).

From December 6, 2021 to January 15, 2022 the COVID-19 green certification in Italy will be required  - Legislative Decree n.172 of 26 November 2021 - to access / use as shown in this table (only in Italian).

Below are the specifications of the two certifications:

  • the basic COVID-19 Green Certification - Green Pass certifies one of the following conditions:
    - negative swab in the last 48 hours (rapid antigenic) or 72 hours (molecular test)
    - certificate of vaccination (valid for 9 months)
    - recovery from Covid (valid for 9 months)
  • the reinforced COVID-19 Green Certification - Super Green Pass certifies one of the following conditions:
    - certificate of vaccination (valid for 9 months)
    - recovery from Covid (valid for 9 months)

The aforementioned provisions are exclusively those of a national nature: Regions, Autonomous Provinces and Municipalities can provide further restrictive provisions, of a local nature, to know which it is necessary to make institutional information channels of the individual bodies.
