Rimini is set to host the “Longest New Year’s Eve in the world”, with many events for more than a month of celebrations, from December to Epiphany, including music, art, culture, cinema, shows and Christmas initiatives, markets, traditional and sand nativity scenes and the ice-skating rink close to the beach.

A widespread programme that will kick off with the switching on of the Christmas lights on 23 November and will continue until Epiphany.

The highlight of the event is the New Year's Eve party, which this year kicks off with three concerts by great Italian artists: it begins on 29 December with the sounds of Irene Grandi, continues on Monday 30 December with the engaging and humorous concert by Elio e le Storie Tese, and ends on 31 December with the concert by Vinicio Capossela and his vast repertoire of songs that give space to an overflowing show, perfect for Rimini's choral toast to the New Year, which will culminate with the double performance of the Fire at the Castle in Rimini's Piazza dei Sogni.

There will also be shows, DJ sets, and live music that will transform the city's identity places into extraordinary stages of great evocative power for one night.
