The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship is a competition reserved for so-called “production-based racing motorcycles”, that is, ones that are manufactured for the market.
Its popularity has grown and developed thanks to the spectacular nature of the tests and the great enthusiasm that the public expresses in attending races that ignite passion for motorcycling the world over, in an atmosphere where they are very close to their heroes.
Three races are going to take place over the weekend: race 1 on Saturday, race 2 and the sprint race on Sunday. Along with WorldSBK, the sport programme includes two other world categories: the spectacular WorldSSP, with the last world championship won by Nicolò Bulega and WorldSSP300, with Jeffrey Buis defending his title.
In Italy, the WorldSBK circus rolls into town on the weekend of 14-16 June 2024, when the Emilia-Romagna Round will be raced at Misano World Circuit.
For 30 years, the WorldSBK has been raced at Misano, at the circuit named after Marco Simoncelli.
