Overlooking a glacial lake at the foot of Mount La Nuda, Cerreto Laghi ski resort is set in a beautiful landscape which features picturesque lakes and dense beech forests.

A short distance from the Cerreto Pass, the crossroads between Emilia-Romagna, Liguria and Tuscany, it is one of the most important and well-equipped ski resorts in the entire Apennine ridge, including more than five lift systems (three chairlifts, a ski lift and a carpet lift for the ski school slope) and 10 alpine ski slopes on different levels.

During the winter months the area usually enjoys good snowfall; when this is not the case, the area is covered by an artificial snowmaking system that covers almost two-thirds of the slopes.

However, Alpine skiing is certainly not the only thing on offer here. Ample space is given to cross-country skiing, with a number of loop trails of varying levels of difficulty near Lake Pranda, one of which has, among other things, been approved for international competitions.

Lovers of snowboarding tricks can enjoy the modern and well-equipped terrain park with a set-up made of boxes and jumps suitable for both beginners and the more experienced, which is lit up even in the evening.

Like any respectable ski resort, there is the opportunity to rent equipment and enjoy lessons – particularly important for beginners – for skiing and snowboarding given by experienced instructors who will help you take your first steps or improve your technique.

The area also includes a modern ice-skating rink, one of the most important facilities of its kind in central Italy, a meeting point for all ages.

In addition to skiing, the main sporting activity, at Cerreto Laghi visitors can do numerous outdoor activities throughout the year that offer them direct contact with nature. You can take long walks in the snow or through the woods, there are trekking and Nordic walking routes, mountain biking or horse riding excursions, and for the more adventurous, the possibility of sleeping in one of the many mountain shelters within the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park

Finally, there is no shortage of accommodation facilities and restaurants, ready to welcome and pamper their visitors and to make sure they have a unique holiday that includes relaxing spas, fantastic cuisine and plenty of hospitality and friendliness.
