One of the three qualifying stages of the World Cup for the SUP World Championship of the International Canoe Federation to be held in Abu Dhabi in October 2025 comes to the Ferrara area and it will be the most important race in 2025 on Italian soil.
Between 500 and 800 athletes from all over Italy and the World are expected, including some World Champions.
The competition will take place at Lago delle Nazioni on Saturday and Sunday; in the Oasis of Vigarano Pieve (Ferrara Canoe Club's headquarter) for the sprint race on Friday.
In addition, an innovative timed race is planned, the TEMPO SUP in the historical center of Ferrara, in the moat of the Estense Castle (3 April)

1 - Inflatable race (dedicated race for inflatable sups) 5km SRL isup race
2 - Technical race (1km route with 6/7 buoys)
3 - Long distance 12km route on Lago delle Nazioni (2 laps)
4 - Sprint 200m, 200 meters speed race on the lake of Vigarano Pieve
5 - Junior races (technical and long distance) with with a shorter route and dedicated categories compared to the open and master categories
6 - Fun race non-competitive walk for amateurs and parents (pre race on the inflatable route)
7 - SURFSKI (competitive race in the sea) 15 km
8 - Regional Canoe Speed Race
9 - TEMPO SUP RACE, Thursday afternoon in the moat of the Este Castle in Ferrara
10 - Relay race during the long distance
11 - Duathlon SUP (running+sup)
