The language of Berlinde de Bruyckere (Ghent, Belgium, 1964) and Carol Rama (Turin, Italy, 1918-2015) relate to a Renaissance sculpture attributed to Giovanni Angelo Del Maino belonging to the Piacenza Diocesan collections.
The artists use sculpture, drawing, printmaking, installations, sound research and applied arts moving through time, space and between public and private collections. The artistic process works on the theme of resilience to pain, between vulnerability and strength.
